Japan in a Photo Frame

The Japan-themed exhibition “Japan in a Photo Frame” can be called another milestone in my photography life, which started in 2004. It was held on the 16th, 17th, and 18th of December in 2016 at J.R. Jayawardene Centre, Colombo 7.

The exhibition was organized by Nicey International in association with Telka Extea and Nicely Travel. This exhibition includes Japanese traditions, cultural things, popular tourist spots in Japan as well as the modern city life that I saw while traveling in Japan. The special thing about this is that this is my fifth photography exhibition and the very first photography exhibition in Japan by a Sri Lankan photographer.

Besides the exhibition, traditional Japanese tea ceremony, sushi ceremony, kimono fashion session, bonsai and origami ceremony, and traditional Japanese drumming session were also on the cards. Miss Mai Morita, the finalist of Miss Universe Japan and the winner of the Miss Sake competition, participated as the chief guest of this Japanese event. Also, I have held a couple of exhibitions in Sri Lanka, Australia, and Italy during the past few years
