Melbourne in the Picture

Over the years, the experience gained in photography in various fields of weddings, fashion, travel, interior design, and celebrity profiles is indescribable. Also, I am happy that in the last few years, visiting different countries, showing them the beauty of Sri Lanka, and showing the culture, beauty, and lifestyle of those countries to Sri Lanka have been successful.

On the occasion of Australia Day, the Australian photography exhibition held in collaboration with veteran photographer Mr. Atula Ranaraja was held under the theme ‘Sense of Melbourne’ in January 2017. It is a pleasure to hold this exhibition at the same Lionel Wendt gallery where I had my first exhibition. This was mainly sponsored by Seya Jeewa Education and Hayleys Cafe Pixel. Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Bryce Hutcheson opened the exhibition.

This is the first time that photographs taken in Australia will be exhibited in Sri Lanka. Although there is a professional and educational bond between the two countries, the cultural bond is far away, so our effort was to create the cultural bond between the two countries artistically.
